The sport alkaline bath salts by Michael Droste-Laux were specially developed for athletes. Excess lactic acid can be deposited in the connective tissue and tissues close to the joints and as a result lead to tense muscles and the well-known muscle soreness.

Basic applications after sport, especially in the form of baths, promote the elimination of acids and accelerate regeneration after excessive physical exertion. This process is additionally supported by the addition of Rügen healing chalk, which has a therapeutically observable anti-inflammatory effect and has a positive effect on the course of wound healing (cell-biological test results by Prof. Dr. Peter Dartsch, 2011).

The formulation by Michael Droste-Laux is enriched with a complex agent made from natural minerals and trace elements, as well as with the three "sporty" gemstones dolomite, magnesite and rock crystal.
